3/17/2026 - Music I recommend - Post Malone and Swae Lee - "Sunflowers"

I have to admit, my faith has been really hit with everything happening over the last five years of my life. So much loss and pain has eroded my foundation that I wonder where I'm at in my mentality. Trying to find the moments where I can.

My greatest hope is to someday move to a place where I can be at peace, surrounded by good people, and making my small part of the world a better place. The States aren't what they used to be, honestly. Hope to find a way to some sort of peace.

I live in the midwest of the United States, where I work full time in the financial industry and also the primary caretaker for my aging Father. Recently, my mother has been moved into a memory care center. Due to their needs and the stress of being the caregiver, I am not really responding to anything here.

I would like to travel to the Philippines if just to see where my dad had spent part of his time in the Air Force. I am also trying to find some form of peace with the amount of work that I am doing for family right now. Please be understanding while I try to find the balance between what I want and taking care of work, my parents, and life.

Someday if I could find someone that I could find a place that feels like home and help strengthen my faith, I would be content. Being the primary caregiver for my elderly parents has been a struggle for me for quite a while, and has made me question myself and my faith on what I do and where I am at in my life.

On a lighter note, I'm a nerd, a reader, and a movie fan. I love great stories that come from these games (video games and table top games), television and movies. Currently rewatching BBC's Sherlock... Fantastic!

I love games, ‌including video game but mainly board games (Love storytelling adventures where everyone contributes!). I've even been a play tester for several tabletop and card games.

I went to college for Mass Communications, Broadcasting, and Theatre. I love live events and learning more about the history and local culture.

I listen to a wide range of music, from classic rock to techno to metal to some jazz & blues.

I tend to be very quiet and private until I get to know you as a person. When I get to understand you, I can be very open. I will often ask questions to better help understanding between myself and others.

Thank you for anyone that puts in a bunch of details about themselves - their likes, their hopes, their dreams. That glimpse into the person you are is amazing. Never underestimate how that kind of openness sets you apart on this platform, at least for me. Hope you all take care and look forward to learning more about others here.
