I am a high school art teacher and a wrestling coach. My youngest daughter is 17 and my oldest is 29. My oldest lives on her own as a PA, my youngest, attends the high school that I teach in and Coach at. I have been divorced for 10 years. I am seriously pursuing a woman to marry, so of course, that requires a serious relationship filled with passion and mutual love and respect.
I am non-denominational, Protestant Christian. That may sound complicated but it just means that I am Christian and have Christian values, but I am not Catholic.

I grew up in Iowa, which is Midwestern farm country. Our family was poverty level. Dad worked as a custodian at the university of Iowa. Mom stayed home with the kids and put us all to work every day. I take pride in working hard. And being able to complete tasks independently. I am still a very good athlete. The high school sports I played were football, track, and wrestling. In college I played rugby.

MY PERSONALITY.

I am a man who values depth over surface. To me, character means far more than appearance or status. That does not imply that I do not appreciate a physically, beautiful woman. I appreciate honesty, kindness, and a genuine heart. I love to laugh and find joy in the simple, everyday moments of life. I believe real connection starts with friendship and grows into something beautiful when two people are willing to be open and real with each other. I am strong and self-aware. I know who I am and where I am headed in life. I believe in balance , working hard, taking care of family and responsibilities, but also making room for fun, laughter and love. I look for the good in people and in situations, even when things are not perfect.
I am romantic at heart. I believe in giving your best to the person you love , with honesty, respect and genuine affection. I appreciate a soul deep connection, the kind where you find yourself smiling for no reason, or thinking about that special person in your quiet moments.


WHAT I DO FOR FUN. 
I am warm, dependable, affectionate and loyal. I believe a good woman deserves to be appreciated, respected and loved wholeheartedly, and I bring that energy into my relationships.
 I believe love is an everyday choice every day one should declare their love for that special someone again and again. I enjoy the simple pleasures, cooking a good meal, watching a great movie, exploring new places and trying new things. I love the outdoors, I love playing Disc Golf and camping and fishing, taking walks, enjoying nature and just breathing in the beauty around me. I also enjoy indoor days, playing games and cards, playing ping-pong, good conversations over coffee, music that moves the soul, and moments that turn into lasting memories.
I am flexible, easygoing and open to new adventures as long as I have the right person beside me. Because I truly believe life is so much richer and sweeter when you share it with someone who genuinely means the world to you.
WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR.

I am looking for something rare and real. I want someone who will love me not for who she thinks I should be, but for exactly who I am , lovable though flawed, genuine and whole. I want the kind of love that shows up in the little things, a hand gently reached for, a soft unexpected kiss that catches me off guard, a wink from across a crowded room that says "I see you, and you are everything." I want someone who thinks of me in her quiet moments and isn't afraid to pick up the phone just to say so, because I will be doing exactly the same.
I dream of a love that grows like a garden , tended with patience, watered with honesty and blooming more beautifully with every passing season. I want us to still look into each other's eyes years from now and feel that same warmth, that same magic, as if it were the very first day. I want to grow old with someone and find that the love between us only deepens with time. I am looking for someone honest, caring, romantic, kind, intelligent, respectful and trustworthy , with a great sense of humor and a heart that knows how to be still and present.
I believe life should be filled with moments that make you throw your head back and laugh until your sides hurt. I look for the good in people. I choose love over bitterness and possibilities over limitations. I believe in giving your very best to the person you love, not what is left over, but your whole and honest heart. I appreciate a soul stirring connection. The kind where one kiss makes the earth shift beneath your feet. The kind where idle moments are filled with tender thoughts of that one special person. A genuine, deep, soul-inspired love. I am honest, dependable, gentle, affectionate and fiercely loyal. I believe a good woman is worth celebrating, and I will love, respect and cherish her the way she deserves.
WHAT I LOVE. 

I love old movies and old songs that tell a story. I love old country music with artists like George Jones, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and even newer soulful, country music with Chris Stapleton. I also love 80s and 90s pop and rock. I am an artist and I love painting and drawing. I love art and music; the kind of music that stirs something deep inside you. I’m not good at it, but I will dance , there is something about moving to a beautiful rhythm. I love the outdoors, long romantic walks, watching the stars scatter across a night sky, and standing at the ocean's edge to watch the sun melt into the horizon. Or on the mountain top overlooking the most beautiful scenery. Simple, breathtaking, unforgettable moments. I enjoy fishing, reading, great conversations, laughter that fills a room, and spending unhurried time with someone whose presence just feels like home. I believe in smiling, even on the hard days. A smile is one of my greatest gifts to the world and I give it freely. Life is infinitely more beautiful when shared with the right one. Not just anyone, but the one.
