A bit of a unique story: I was born in the Philippines but left before my first birthday and grew up in Florida. Because I don't remember a single thing about it, I'm essentially experiencing my birth country for the first time at 43.<br /> <br /> In 2024, hit the road to travel full-time and decided to completely reset. I sold everything back home; my house, cars, furniture and narrowed my entire life down to a single suitcase. Moving away from the materialistic mindset has been incredibly freeing; these days, I'm content with a collection of simple t-shirts from the cities I've traveled to. My 21-year-old daughter travels the world with me, though she's got her own place here in Manila.<br /> <br /> I'm on a 6-month lease in Makati to test out city life before either extending my stay, start exploring more of the islands or moving to the next country. I'm looking for a companion to help me navigate the day-to-day lifestyle here, someone to explore local coffee shops, visit the Sunday markets, figure out the grocery routine, and just enjoy the slow days with.
