Bruce’s Story: Seeking God’s Guidance
Back in 2022, I was a single father raising my lovely daughter in Oregon. I had been single for many years, and I reached a point where I deeply wanted to find the right partner. I prayed, fasted, and sought the Lord for direction, which led me to join Christian Filipina.
When I first connected with Jasyl, I remember asking myself, “Is this real? Is she the real one?” But as we talked, I quickly realized it was the real deal. We spoke back and forth for over a year, getting to know each other’s hearts and values.
Eventually, I knew I had to take the next step. I flew out to the Philippines to meet Jasyl and her family in person. I attended her church, spent time getting to know her world, and we celebrated our engagement with a party in the Davao area. Seeing how genuine everything was, I prayed, “Okay Lord, if this is You, then let’s take the next step.”
When Jasyl flew over to the United States so we could get married, I arranged for her to stay with a wonderful Filipino lady who is a close friend of mine. After we were officially married, she moved into our home here in Oregon, and we began building our life together.
We have now been married for almost two years, and we are thankful every single day.

Jasyl’s Story: Across the Ocean, Guided by Faith
When Bruce flew thousands of miles just to see me and meet my family, our connection became even more special. That was the moment I realized, “He really is the right man for me.” God truly made a way for us to be together across the ocean.

We have now been married for almost two years, and we are thankful every single day. We are active in our church community at Kingdom Life Church—where our pastor miraculously flew out to support us—and we also attend a local church for fellowship. God continues to bless our home and family.

I met my wife, Antoniette, in May of 2019 on Christian Filipina. My friend, Paul, was always bragging to me about his wife that he met on Christian Filipina, so I decided to give it a try. We went through a long-distance relationship through COVID and came out the other side. I traveled to the Philippines four times before bringing her to Florida and getting married.
