Hi everyone, We met on Christian Filipina on August 20, 2016. After I waited for 3 years, I found my husband. I am a widow, and my husband, Paul, is divorced. We were in a long-distance relationship (LDR) for 2 years while waiting. We met in person in Manila on January 9, 2018, traveled to Palawan, and then went to my hometown in Tagbilaran.
During those 29 days, so many good things happened; our friendship grew stronger, and we felt a deep connection. Before he left to go back to the US, he asked me, “Is it possible for you to come with me in the future?” I said, “Yes, why not!”
When he returned to the US, we started the paperwork for my daughter and me to travel to his country. On May 28, 2020, we were blessed with the sacrament of marriage by the grace of God. To everyone still waiting, keep on praying 🙏 and trust in God’s timing. Don’t give up—patience is a virtue!
Thank you, Christian Filipina, for giving us the opportunity to know each other through your app. God bless!

I have always believed that good things come to those who wait and trust in God’s perfect timing. Growing up with many hardships in Liloan, Cebu, taught me to be strong and mature beyond my years. Even while I was busy with my second year of college studying for my BSED-English degree, I kept a space in my heart for the dream of having my own family. I knew I needed someone mature and responsible, and I prayed for a man who would truly value my soul.
I am so happy to share that I have finally found him! My forever John is the man of my dreams. Despite the distance and what people might say about age, our souls connected instantly. We communicated constantly, and I felt his sincerity every single day.
We were married online on December 14, 2021, and we are now living happily here in the US with the newest addition to our family, our daughter, Michaela! My journey from a student with a dream to a wife with a beautiful future has been a wonderful blessing.
To everyone still searching: Remember that maturity is a choice and love is a matter of faith. Don’t be discouraged by the “long run.” If you stay true to yourself and trust the process, the wait will lead you to your soulmate. Thank you to the Christian Filipina community for bringing me to my husband. God bless you all!
SPREAD LOVE, NOT HATE. MAY PEACE BE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
