I’ve always believed in God’s perfect timing—that when the time is right, the Lord will gently place the right person into your life. Dan and I met on the Christian Filipina dating site at a moment when my heart was almost ready to give up. I had been there for months, feeling unseen and losing hope. I even decided to deactivate my account. But something inside me whispered, “Try one more time.” So, I updated my profile and gave love one last chance.
On October 9, 2025, Dan sent me a simple message: “You look stunning.” I didn’t know it then, but those three words would change my life forever. From that day on, we talked for hours on video calls, laughing, sharing, and falling into a love that felt so natural, so peaceful—as if our souls had known each other long before we ever met. With every conversation, my heart felt more at home with him. When he came to Dubai to see me, everything we felt became even more real. Being in his arms felt like an answered prayer. And before he left, he asked me to be his forever. It was the most beautiful “yes” my heart has ever spoken.
Now, as we wait for my visa and dream about the life we will build together, I am reminded every day that God’s plans are always greater than our doubts. We didn’t find each other by chance—we found each other by grace. And with every passing day, our love only grows deeper, stronger, and more certain. So, trust the waiting. Trust the silence. Trust His timing. Because when love comes from God, it arrives exactly when your heart is ready—and it stays.

We recently celebrated after seven months of getting to know each other. We both work long days while dealing with a 12-hour time difference.
I’ve met her two sons on WhatsApp and have communicated with them a few times. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the opportunity to chat with my sister due to her living a distance from me, as well as issues with bad cell phone reception.
Joey and I have many things in common, like travel, music, and church. Joey actually connects with the livestream from the church that I attend. I’m trying to make arrangements to travel to the Philippines to meet her personally and to do some sightseeing.
She is attempting to travel to Sydney, Australia, to visit her niece, and I’m traveling next week to Honduras on a Work & Witness trip. We have worked through a few things to clarify some differences, but one thing we agree on is to give it time and be patient.
We want to thank CF for connecting us as we get to understand a long-distance relationship and see how this type of love starts up!
